Transformational Art

Ansel Adams once said, “Not everybody trusts paintings, but people believe photographs.” What then do we make of a photograph that is unbelievable?

Self-taught fine art photographer creating otherworldly compositions using models (staged and unstaged), natural and antique found materials and natural light. By pushing the machine to its outer limits, I use the camera more as a canvas than as a documentary tool. These unmanipulated, single exposure photographs are an abrupt departure from the physical plain into the realm of painterly imagination.

The solutions to the world’s problems will not be political, social, technological or monetary. The solution will be spiritual, a transformation arising from direct experience of beauty.  In beauty there is transcendence and love. We have a responsibility to start dreaming this change. I want to take you places. I want to make us dream again.

One is compelled to look more deeply into that which can't be classified or compared. These multivalent images are unfixed emblems of possibility. Relinquish labeling and interpretation and embrace the unfamiliar. Because here it comes
